On November 12 and 13, a Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) of the European project OPEN4ALL was held in the city of Catania, Italy. This key meeting brought together the project partners to continue advancing the development of the project’s core outputs and to strengthen collaboration at European level.
During the two working days, the partner organisations, including Controvento as coordinating entity and Fundación Miradas, focused on the design and refinement of the AAC Toolkit, a central resource of the project aimed at improving communication accessibility for people with disabilities and complex communication needs. Significant progress was made in structuring the contents and methodology of the toolkit, ensuring it responds to the real needs identified during earlier project phases.
In addition, the consortium reviewed the project’s communication strategies to maximise its impact, planned the upcoming final events, and shared ideas to reinforce cooperation between partners. The meeting also provided an opportunity to learn more about the work, experience and facilities of the coordinating organisation, fostering an enriching exchange of good practices and professional perspectives.
Beyond the technical sessions, the partners had the chance to explore the cultural and historical heritage of Catania, strengthening personal connections in an informal setting and reinforcing the collaborative spirit of the project.
This meeting was made possible thanks to the support of the Erasmus+ Programme, which continues to promote cooperation, innovation and knowledge exchange across Europe. The OPEN4ALL partnership remains committed to working together to improve communication accessibility and inclusion for all.
