Miguel Gómez and Rodrigo Arnáiz presented the results of the OPEN4ALL project during a meeting held in Spain, attended by professionals and people with disabilities. The encounter provided a space for dialogue and exchange on inclusion, accessibility and the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).

During the presentation, the speakers outlined how the OPEN4ALL project responds to the barriers faced by people with intellectual disabilities (PWID) and people with complex communication needs (CCN) in areas such as education, health care, employment and social participation. Particular emphasis was placed on the project’s objectives of strengthening social inclusion, improving professional competences in AAC, and promoting greater autonomy and participation in daily life.

Miguel Gómez and Rodrigo Arnáiz also shared the project’s main activities, including the identification of good practices, the development of training materials and the AAC Toolkit, as well as the importance of transnational cooperation to ensure sustainable and long-term impact.

The meeting contributed to raising awareness of the project’s results and reinforced OPEN4ALL’s commitment to building a more inclusive society by improving communication accessibility for all.
