On 19 April 2024, the partners of the OPEN4ALL project held their first online transnational meeting, marking the official start of collaborative work within the project.

The meeting brought together representatives from the participating organisations, including Marta Arroyo and Miguel Gómez from Fundación Miradas, and Enrica Cappadona from Controvento, the coordinating organisation of the project.

During the session, partners discussed the overall objectives of OPEN4ALL, the project timeline, and the roles and responsibilities of each organisation. Special attention was given to the shared commitment to improving accessibility, promoting Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and strengthening the skills of professionals working with people with disabilities and complex communication needs.

This first meeting laid the foundations for effective transnational cooperation and set the direction for the upcoming activities, including the identification of good practices, the development of training materials and the AAC Toolkit, and future in-person project meetings. OPEN4ALL continues to move forward with the shared goal of fostering inclusion, participation, and equal opportunities across Europe.
